The Introverted Filmmaker. |
It's all about films (Mine and others). |
Well it’s that time of the year in which I wrote about the films that I have more hopes of this year, here are they!
5) Pain & Gain by Michael Bay / Oblivion by Joseph Kosinski
Michael Bay! seriously? what the fuck is wrong with you man?! that’s what some followers will probably be thinking of this, well I’m actually enjoy Bay’s movies and this his is working with decent writers and the trailer looks a lot of fun.
Oblivion has gained my interested due to the fact that Kosinsky made one of the best looking films of this decade and also that his is using M83 for the score.
4) Iron Man 3 by Shane Black
The conclusion of the Iron Man trilogy which I have found really entertaining, specially the first movie which in my opinion is great.
3) Star Trek Into Darkness by JJ Abrams
Star Trek is one of my favorite films of 2009 and the fact that Sherlock is playing the villain is exciting!
2) Man of Steel by Zack Snyder
Finally, one of my favorite super heroes is getting the right tone in film!
1) Pacific Rim by Guillermo Del Toro
What can I say, Del Toro is one of my favorite film directors working today and one of my inspirations to pursue a career on filmmaking as he’s in my opinion the best mexican filmmaker of the moment and he’s doing a film with total creative control for the summer in a massive scale, how is not possible to make this my most anticipated film of the year?
So I just watched The Amazing Spider-Man for the second time, yeah I liked it that much.
Of course it has it’s mistakes but is actually the Spidey film I ever wanted, it was almost like if I directed it.
And I really want a freakin’ director’s cut.
Now that I graduated from fuckin’ high school I can start back to watch, write and even make films.
The party of graduation at my place was awesome and crazy but now I know that I won’t see any of my classmates again during the summer, in case I would 2 or 3 guys.
Anyway as I was saying, I’m contact with a friend to make a couple of live action short films and also I have to make a project with Tim Mably.
Well I have to say that life it’s just starting but I’ve to admit that I’ll miss some of the assholes whom I had a friendship in school and for the heartless bitches … well the same just that I’m starting to forgot about them hahaha…
It’s summer time!
As the tittle implies this post it’s about the how I’ll be facing a lot of changes through the summer and also about how 2012 has been the year with most changes in my life so far.
So the summer has come and that means not just vacations but also the time to prepare for college, in my case I’m going to another city to study filmmaking, it’ll be fun but also hard.
A lot of stuff has happened in the past months that I can’t even believe it.
Curious is that the theme song from the trailer of “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” fits perfect in this moment of my life, I’ve been listening to it since sunday.
As the summer is inevitable heading to us I have to quickly start preparing things for this long vacations period.
What I liked of last year summer was listening to my favorite mexican band “Zoè” and watching movies that I haven’t never seen before, well I’ll try to do the second thing like last year but in a more clean way, now I’m buying films that I haven’t seen and wait to watch until the summer I would start like in the middle of June and end in in the middle of July.
Theese are the films that I’ve ready for this summer.
1) Manderlay (Lars Von Trier)
2) We Own The Night (James Gray)
3) Peeping Tom (Michael Powell)
4) Red Shoes (Michael Powell & Emeric Pressburger)
5) Once Upon A Time In The West (Sergio Leone)
6) Once Upon A Time In America (Sergio Leone)
7) Mulholland Drive (David Lynch)
Those are pretty much the ones I already bought, my goal is to have 17 films ready for the summer.
